The UBB Faculties are organised into academic/science schools each school being coordinated by a council of the deans of the faculties/programmes (or their representatives):
(1) School of Arts and Humanities/School of Liberal Arts will include the Faculty of Letters, the Faculty of History and Philosophy, the Faculty of Theatre and Film, as well as the art programmes of the theology faculties at UBB.
(2) School of Social Sciences will include the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, the Faculty of European Studies, the Faculty of Business, the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences, the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, the Faculty of Geography (through human geography and tourism), respectively the Faculty of History and Philosophy (through the Department of International Studies and Contemporary History).(3) School of Sciences and Life Sciences will include the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, the Faculty of Physics, the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, the Faculty of Biology and Geology, the Faculty of Environmental Science and Engineering, and the Faculty of Geography (through physical and technical geography and territorial planning).
(4) School of Engineering and Technology will include the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (through the engineering component: the chemical/biochemical engineering field), the Faculty of Environmental Science and Engineering (through the engineering component: the environmental engineering field), the Faculty of Physics (through the engineering component: the technological physics programme), the Faculty of Biology and Geology (the engineering component: the industrial biotechnology/molecular biotechnology/geological engineering programmes), but also the Faculty of Engineering (Reșița Extension).
(5) School of Health will include the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences (through the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy - clinical/health programmes), the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences (through the Department of Public Health), the Faculty of Physics (through the medical physics programme), the Faculty of Biology and Geology (through the quality management programme in medical laboratories/nutrition sciences/medical biology), the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport (through the physical therapy programme), the Faculty of Environmental Science and Engineering (through the environmental health component), the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, respectively, (through food chemistry and clinical chemistry programmes).
(6) School of Theology/Divinity includes the four faculties of theology within UBB: Faculty of Orthodox Theology, Faculty of Greek-Catholic Theology, Faculty of Reformed Theology, Faculty of Roman Catholic Theology.
